Ectopic Rupture

     So, today I had a follow up with my Cardiologist.  "What in the world do you have a cardiologist for" is most peoples response to that.  On the 4th of July I ended up having emergency surgery for a ruptured ectopic pregnancy.  I thought it was food poisoning, which is why we waited so long to go to the emergency room, which is why I came very close to not living through this seemingly trivial medical condition.  Anyway, at the cardiologist, they took my vitals, and everything looks good.  But I saw the nurse practitioner today who was not there for the surgery and had no clue what happened, so he asked me to explain what happened leading up to the surgery and my need for a cardiologist.       I explained: I thought I had food poisoning.  We realized it was probably something more serious when I was fainting every time I tried to stand up.  About at this point all my memories are fuzzy at best....

Harpers first birthday

I cant believe my little girl is ONE already! I hate the cliche that it all goes by in a blink of an eye, but its so true.  I seriously feel like I was just pregnant with her!  She's grown up so much though!  She makes us so proud!  She started walking at 10 months and has kept us on our toes ever since!  Shes a total mommas girl... I really cant even leave the room without her melting down.  Oddly enough though, she doesnt do too badly with babysitters.  Shes an amazing sleeper!  She knows that once shes put in her crib, that its sleep time, and she closes her eyes and goes right to sleep.  Sweet girl!  What an angel!  Shes still nursing daily, but we are weaning.  She never took a bottle and HATED formula.  Now that shes super into big kid food, shes wanting me less and less. My soapbox

I really don't get on here often enough, though it is more often than I write in my own journal. Rob and I are sitting here on the couch, each in our own respective little world. Me surfing the web, and reading my latest novel... this one is the 5th installment of the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, which I highly recommend. I have fallen in love with the characters and story lines! I could really move to Scotland after this! Rob is (I hope I don't embarrass him here) reading the first novel of Twilight! He has Twilight in one hand, and a thesaurus in the other hand...lol. I guess he is just trying to get his vocab up...though I don't know if I could really get into a book if I was stopping every other sentence and looking things up. I am glad he is trying though. He really does make me proud with how hard is is trying to improve his mind (or maybe just try to understand why I like the books so much...equally sweet), and get a job and provide for the lit...
